Meet Dr. Binh Dao

Dr. Binh Dao’s love for dentistry can be made quite simple: He just loves helping patients with whatever dental problem they are having, big or small. It can be as simple as smoothing a small chip in a patient’s tooth that is driving their tongue crazy, or working with our orthodontist, Dr. Lyons, to correct a smile.

Since he grew up in Roseville, many of Dr. Dao’s high-school friends, their parents, and siblings have come to the office. He enjoys talking with them and seeing how well they are doing, or how quickly their kids are growing.

Dr. Dao has been fortunate enough to have practiced dentistry since 2007. In choosing the dental field, he saw the science and art of dentistry combine beautifully in order to truly help people.

Education and Continuing Education

A native of the Sacramento area, Dr. Dao graduated from Woodcreek High School in Roseville before earning his Bachelor of Science in biological sciences at the University of the Pacific in Stockton. To complete his dental training, Dr. Dao attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

Dr. Dao continually travels to learn with some of the world's best dentists. He is a proud graduate of the Kois Center. The Kois Center teaches top dentists from around the world the latest in dental research and science. He participates in live-patient aesthetic and restorative programs that help him to perfect a patient's smile using minimally invasive porcelain veneers.

With the strong foundation Dr. Dao received in dental school and the innovative and new technologies available today, he is able to find a solution for all of his patients’ dental needs.

Outside the Office

Dr. Dao and his wife, Dr. Lyons, met in dental school and were married in 2011. They have three daughters. He is proud that his oldest daughter was floss trained before being potty trained.  Dr. Dao spends a lot of time running and playing volleyball, both activities he’s enjoyed since middle school.

He tries to spend as much time as possible with his family and friends when he’s not in the office. Whether that involves traveling to a faraway country, enjoying a meal at a local restaurant, or just hanging out in the backyard, nothing brings him more happiness than being around those he loves.

In the Community

Every year, Dr. Dao gives back to the community by volunteering his dental services to the less fortunate. Sometimes it’s as simple and close as Give Kids a Smile with the Sacramento Dental Society, or Remote Area Medical located at Cal Expo, which offers free dental care to residents of the Sacramento area. In other years, Dr. Dao has traveled to foreign countries, including Fiji, the Philippines, Peru, and Honduras, to provide dental treatment in remote areas to those who enjoy little or no access to dental care.
